The mecca of a suggestion for the FBI

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/6182835.stm

The blind radical Muslim cleric (whose first prayer to God is so far unanswered?) Omar Abdel Rahman is very ill and in a US Jail. He was convicted of plotting attacks against New York in 1996. He has asked his supporters to commit violence against the US if he dies in a US jail.

Solution
I think we can put the guy on a life support machine for a few years/decades to keep him alive. Actually how many years could you do this for?. A financial person might argue that its cheaper to do this and pay for a normal prisoner.

Could a person be considered dead if he was frozen while on a life support machine (perhaps there will be a cure for terrorism in the future).
